To create a more structured, transparent and interaction-oriented operating model, making everyday life easier for both operations teams, tenants and partners.
Eco Forvaltning is a property management company with strong expertise in energy, environment and sustainability. With a portfolio of more than 100,000 square meters spread across more than 40 buildings in Northern Norway, they provide management services to commercial buildings, housing companies and public actors.
They manage Odd Berg's portfolio with its signature Trofi Teknopark, Roald Amundsen's plass 1 and Veita Senter in central Tromsø, as well as NorgesGruppen's Eurospar stores in Tromsø.
Since its inception, Eco Management has combined modern technology with close, personal monitoring to ensure efficient and sustainable property operations.
We asked Christer Trældal, property manager and project manager at Eco Forvaltning, how Propely has changed their way of working — from manual processes to digital interaction.
We greatly appreciate the opportunity to share our experiences with Propely. It has really been a positive journey for us and we are very happy with the platform and how it has improved our everyday lives.
Before using Propely, we worked with several different systems and manual processes to follow up on operations, failures and communication with tenants and suppliers. This often led to a lack of overview, time-consuming follow-up and the risk of important cases not being dealt with quickly enough. We wanted a more efficient and holistic solution that could bring everything together in one place and provide better control over the property portfolio.
The process of adopting Propely has been very positive. We experienced great support from the Propely team throughout the implementation phase, and the platform is both intuitive and user-friendly. The transition went quickly, and we quickly got down to using the system actively in everyday life.
Today we use Propely daily — both in management, operations and communication. What we perhaps appreciate most is the structured overview of deviations and tasks, as well as the seamless communication with both tenants and suppliers directly in the platform. Tenants and suppliers receive a continuous follow-up of discrepancies and reports, which creates predictability and trust.
We also see great utility in Propely's AI tools, which allow us to better manage incoming service reports and deviations from external actors. AI functionality helps ensure that information is structured and sorted efficiently, making it easier to follow up and delegate tasks across the organization. It also makes it easier to delegate deviations directly to our service partners, so that appropriate actions are initiated quickly and purposefully. Functions such as case management, inspections and notifications are particularly valuable to us.
In addition, we now use Propely as a management tool in smaller projects, which gives us an easy overview of both suppliers and work tasks. This makes it easier to keep progress and ensure that everyone involved has access to the necessary information along the way in the project.
Propely has given us a whole new everyday life. Managers have a better overview, operations technicians work more efficiently and purposefully, suppliers get clear assignments — and tenants experience faster response and better follow-up. It has simply become easier to deliver high quality services.
The biggest benefit of Propely is, without a doubt, the time savings and the improvement in information flow. We experience fewer errors and misunderstandings, cases are resolved faster, and it is easier to document and follow up work. In the past, for example, a simple mistake on a property could take several days to follow up — now it is recorded and handled in minutes, with full traceability and visibility.
We view Propely as a long-term partner and plan to further expand its use. Among other things, we want to adopt even more automated processes and look at how the platform can support us in reporting and analysis going forward.
At the same time, we have already started integrating new partners that Propely supports. Among other things, we have adopted Adaptic, which makes it easier to show energy accounts to both tenants and farm owners. Our goal is to bring together as much functionality as possible in one comprehensive platform — to make everyday work even more efficient and clear.
We at Eco Stewardship greatly appreciate the ongoing development work the Propely team is doing. We find that the platform is forward-looking and adapted to the needs and challenges we face in an increasingly digitalized property management. This gives us confidence that the solution will be relevant and valuable in the years to come.
