Bane NOR Eiendom has signed an agreement with Propely as a supplier of a new FM system for a property portfolio of approximately 1,800 buildings.
“The aim of the acquisition is to streamline and standardize our handling of operations and maintenance, as well as technical information, drawings and documentation. The latter should also form the basis for land calculation when renting,” says project manager Espen Hansteen at Bane NOR Eiendom AS.
“The agreement with Propely is an important step in a forward-looking property management in Bane NOR,” says Morten Stray Floberghagen, Director Property Management at Bane NOR.
“The system uses modern technology, and we have faith in Propely's expertise and willingness to keep up with the times and further develop the product in line with all upcoming AI and PropTech. We need this now because the real estate industry is changing, probably bigger changes than we've seen in many years. We are looking forward to using Propely,” says Floberghagen.
With this, Bane NOR Eiendom replaces a system that is over 20 years old. The acquisition followed an extensive bidding competition with nine bidders, in which Propely in partnership with Bim2share was rated as the overall best supplier.
“In the evaluation, Propely scored highly in all key areas, and the ability to deliver smart technology was a key criterion in the competition. Propely was also rated as a supplier with solid industry understanding and strong benchmarks. We are looking forward to using the new system and look forward to a good cooperation,” says Senior Advisor FM Bernt Øvern at Bane NOR Eiendom AS.
“Propely has a well-established position in the private FM market in Norway. Over the past two years, we have worked purposefully to further develop both the solution, the organisation and our internal processes in order to compete in the largest public procurements,” says Morten Ullnæss, Commercial Manager at Propely.
“The fact that Bane NOR Eiendom chooses Propely after a thorough and demanding process confirms that this work has strengthened our ability to meet the needs of the public sector. At the same time, we see that the specific requirements and ambitions of this acquisition correspond well with the challenges we solve for our private customers,” says Ullnæss.
“The process has been thorough and demanding and has placed high demands on documentation of maturity throughout the delivery, from architecture and integrations to workflows and data bases. We are grateful for the trust Bane NOR Eiendom has shown us, and look forward to starting our collaboration and delivering a modern solution in an intuitive interface on web and mobile,” says Christian Schartum, business developer at Propely.
Propely delivers a modern and easy-to-use FM platform that, together with integration partners, solves all needs in the management process. The company has established itself as a leading player in the private FM market in Norway, and is now rapidly expanding into the public sector. With advanced technology, heavy focus on the use of AI tightly coupled with practical functionality, Propely challenges traditional systems and sets a new standard for data-driven and efficient property management.
Bane NOR Eiendom AS is a state-owned, commercial real estate operator, wholly owned by Bane NOR SF. The company develops and manages railway stations, train workshops and a number of city-centre properties across the country, and is a major contributor to sustainable town and site development.
